Canadian Red Cross
one year later
We visited Fort McMurray, Alberta, one year after the devastating fires. Rebuilding a town, a home and a life is a process that doesn't happen overnight. After a major disaster hits, the road to recovery can take many years to complete.
When disaster first hit, the CRC deployed aid immediately and remained on site until the job’s completion. We spoke to community members affected by the blaze and those who lent their efforts to the rebuilding process — together we narrated the long journey to recovery.
Our video reached over 2 million people and through a retargeting campaign generated thousands of sign-ups for the CRC newsletter for continual updates.
